  The Population of the Regional District surrounding Whistler BC is has grown to more than 38,000 year-round residents. Whistler BC's local population within the municipality is approximately 9,000 year-round and swells during the peak BC ski season. Estimates during the coming Olympic months in 2010 will be over 100,000 visitors per day.
